Leadership in the digital reality
In 2022, we’re working in a new, digital reality. It demands new leadership in at least two areas: decision-making and organizational development. Top of Minds provides General Managers in the 100 – 300k segment, both permanent and interim. We work for both scale-ups with less than 10 million euro in sales and corporates with a cash flow topping out above 10 billion.
- Decision-making: Decision-making processes are dominated by data interpretation. In a digital reality where data is available for almost everything, but where data can often be interpreted in multiple ways, high demands are placed on leaders’ quantitative-analytical skills.
- Organizational development: Organizations are or are becoming more and more agile. This requires autonomy low down in the organization, with initiatives like self-managing teams. Letting go of traditional control mechanisms (“just come and ask if it’s okay”) and replacing them with predetermined rules requires a high level of abstraction from leaders.
