Stanley is poised for ongoing growth in projected sales as well as SKU complexity and volume, especially in the direct-to-consumer (D2C) sector. This creates certain additional logistics and operations challenges. In response, Stanley is expanding its team with a Senior Operations Associate. This new position will manage the complexities of scaling Stanley’s D2C logistics, ensure operational excellence, and proactively manage inventory in a rapidly growing market environment.

Vacancy: Senior Operations Associate

The new Senior Operations Associate will be a key member of Stanley’s EMEA Logistics organization. Their overall goal will be to analyze and optimize the EMEA logistics — while making the operations and inventory processes more data-driven.

The Senior Operations Associate will oversee and improve the team’s day-to-day control of outsourced warehousing and distribution operations. They will optimize transportation routes, reduce transportation costs, minimize damages and replacement costs, and improve operational performance efficiency through standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Next to strategic thinking and maintaining a bird’s eye view, this role also requires a hands-on mentality. The Senior Operations Associate will visit warehouses, make physical stock counts, and work with the warehouse controllers. This means regular travel to the warehouse near London, and the two warehouses in Venray, NL.

The new Senior Operations Associate will report directly to José Maria Bayo, Logistics Manager of EMEA. They will collaborate with US counterparts, such as the Inventory Manager and the Data Scientist. The role requires clear communications, networking, and stakeholder management skills, to foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and working closely with Sales, Marketing, and E-commerce teams, with a focus on third-party logistics.
