Vacancy: Global E-commerce Manager B2B
JDE Professional is responsible for great coffee away from home in over 60 markets. After a challenging year as a result of the global pandemic, JDE Professional is gearing up for rapid growth. The Global E-commerce Manager B2B will play a key role in shaping this new phase and they report to the Global Sales Director.
The focus of this role will be on the strategy and implementation of the e-commerce revenue generation within B2B. There are pockets of capability throughout the different countries. Together with General Managers and Sales Directors in the different countries, the Global E-commerce Manager B2B will be able to create consistency throughout the countries. By scaling up best practices and bringing in knowledge and capabilities to make a huge impact on the performance of JDE’s global online sales in the professional segment.
“The next exciting stage of JDE Professional’s growth journey centers on e-commerce. We want to step up our game, for strategy and execution, leveraging the explosion in online sales and capturing the multi-million opportunity it provides.” – Sam O’Brien
Influencer skills are key because overlap and collaboration with stakeholders across various functional departments (from DevOps to Digital Marketing) and local markets will be significant. The four key channels for online sales within the professional segment are:
- JDE-owned webshops – which are largely out of scope for this role, as they are managed by the countries themselves;
- Professional clicks and mortar – the online sales channels of wholesalers;
- Key Accounts – the seamless customer experience makes for an interesting P&L puzzle;
- Online marketplaces.
This is a new role within JDE, which will evolve rapidly. The right candidate will be someone who can help shape both the role itself, the organization, and, to some degree, the industry as well. In other words, a go-getter who won’t shy away from strategy development, revenue management, shaping partnerships and collaborations, organizational structure, building the team, senior stakeholder management, and capability building. FMCG knowledge and B2B experience are preferred, but not required.
