In recent years, the scale-up expanded quickly in terms of products, channels, and markets. As a result of the global COVID measures, no one can ignore the relevance of the proposition and the company’s growth is accelerating even further. They currently operate in over 150 markets around the world and processing millions of online transactions. The recent capital injection of €22 million by tech investor Prime Ventures enables the company to accelerate its global growth even more. As a result, they hiring two additional Expansion Managers, focusing on the US and the EU.
Vacancy: Expansion Manager US
Expansion Manager US is a highly entrepreneurial role within Recharge.com with full P&L responsibility for the US market. The objective is to create significant growth in the US in all categories. Noteworthy categories include Call Credit (focusing on a cross-border support proposition for immigrant communities) and the newly launched Entertainment and Gaming products. The Expansion Manager will also be in charge of leveraging the multi-category app and/or launching new products for the US market.
Full ownership of the US market means the Expansion Manager will drive consumer research, competitor analysis, defining the market-entry or growth strategy, localizing the proposition and assortment, defining the channel mix, introducing new propositions or categories, running commercial activities, budget management, performance optimization and collaborating with Business Intelligence and Business Development. Understanding the market, consumers and competitors is essential in order to develop a great commercial plan and lead the way to success in the US.
From acquisition to retention, from reducing bounce rate to increasing acceptance rate and from channel mix to commercial offers, the Expansion Manager will always be on the lookout for business opportunities to grow. The Expansion Manager will report to the Director of Online Marketing & New Markets Growth.

In order to hit the ground running, candidates will need impeccable analytical skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, a commercial focus, deep knowledge of online marketing and e-commerce, and project and stakeholder management skills.
