Strategy Execution Lead

The Strategy Execution Lead is responsible for implementing ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance’s (ABF) key strategic programs. They will help institute best-in-class project management throughout the organization, from coaching and developing colleagues’ skills to leading by example. It’s a pivotal position that can make a lot of impact and includes exposure to senior leadership.

ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance (ABF), a subsidiary of ABN AMRO, provides asset-based lending solutions to small, corporate and international business clients. ABF is active in four countries: The Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK. It services clients with two propositions: commercial finance and leasing.

Commercial finance deals with accounts receivable financing to support clients to manage their cash flow, for example. Leasing is a type of asset financing ABF offers to help clients procure assets, such as expensive machinery, without major capital expenditure. By standardizing its systems across countries and propositions, and by focusing on sustainability, such as leasing sustainable assets, the bank is planning for growth.

Vacancy: Strategy Execution Lead

ABN AMRO’s Strategy Execution Lead will join the ABF’s Strategy & Execution Office. Its team of about ten professionals are responsible for strategy and execution and includes strategy consultants, project managers and a portfolio manager. The Strategy Execution Lead will inspire the successful execution of ABF’s key strategic programs. They will work in cross-functional and cross-country set-ups and play an important role in implementing ABF’s strategy and roadmap.

Program management is the primary focus of the Strategy Execution Lead. They will coordinate the execution of projects and make sure deadlines and quality standards are met. Activities include designing and updating project plans, managing senior stakeholders, defining scope, mitigating risks and issues, and reporting progress to ABF’s MT. The areas the Strategy Execution Lead will work on will mainly be business, regulatory, and risk and many will have an IT component.

The Strategy Execution Lead is a vital player in developing the change and program management capabilities of the Strategy & Execution Office, and ABF in general. They will coach and develop colleagues’ skills and support them in the successful execution of their projects. With their extensive experience, this role will lead by example and show the rest of the organization what best-in-class program management looks like, from flagging issues and communicating progress updates to involving stakeholders.
