CarNext is gearing up for its next growth phase. And to accelerate to the next level, it needs to develop a well-oiled Tech Department and expand their Tech team with the right people, skills and leadership. The Senior Engineering Manager will be a driving force behind the team who takes ownership of this strategy for the Customer Journey value stream.

About CarNext

CarNext’s mission is to change the way people buy used cars. Traditionally, the used car market has been fragmented, localized and inefficient. CarNext addresses these limitations by transforming the buying experience for its customers, traders and suppliers.

The CarNext customer journey is fully online and boasts extra services such as home delivery, financing options and additional services that are all integrated within the marketplace. In addition to its online services, CarNext also operates a network of Delivery Stores and pick-up points located along major highways throughout Europe.

In 2021. Constellation Group and CarNext joined forces to empower the CarNext platform to help expand their leadership position in the used-car market. After a period of organizational transitions, now the focus will be to kickstart CarNext’s growth strategy.

The Senior Engineering Manager of Customer Journey will take the driver’s seat in evaluating the IT infrastructure, enabling the IT department to optimize its platform and contribute to defining a clear technical strategy which will be  a guideline for future development, growth and execution.

Vacancy: Senior Engineering Manager Customer Journey

The Senior Engineering Manager of Customer Journey reports to the CTO. Their main mission is to build a high-performance Tech Department. They need to empower the team to deliver top notch engineering solutions that enable the organization to contribute to and deliver on CarNext’s growth ambition.

To guarantee an unprecedented customer experience, this role will integrate the Customer Journey across the product and design teams to identify engineering synergies as well as value-added innovations. The Senior Engineering Manager will easily switch lanes and provide clear instructions, and consult with engineers and the CTO on complex projects while managing the project’s progress.

Building the team will also mean hiring specialists that understand the customers and empower them to be autonomous. The objective is to become less dependent on contractors and build strong leadership within the Tech Department. It is very important to coordinate the performance of multiple teams with a strong focus on flawless execution. Setting objectives, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement, and motivating the organization to learn and grow all come naturally to the Senior Engineering Manager of the Customer Journey.
