Robin Radar Systems is a fast growing, global aviation leader in radar tracking technology. They track and classify small objects that pose a threat to aircraft, such as birds or drones. Their mission is to improve safety for both phumans and birds. The Business Development Manager will help them expand worldwide  in the civil aviation sector.

Robin Radar Systems advanced radars and software systems improves aviation safety by detecting birds and drone threats at airports across the world.

In the late ’80s,  Robin Radar started as a small research project between the Dutch Research Institute for Applied Science (TNO) and the Royal Dutch Air Force. Today, their goal remains the same — to keep developing new ways to prevent collisions between birds and planes.

In four decades, Robin Radar has become the global market leader in radar tracking technology that classifies small objects. They’ve also been listed as one of the most innovative SME companies in The Netherlands.

It was initiated by the European Space Agency (ESA) and supported their software algorithms that process raw radar images from air defense radars into visualized bird volume. Vacancy: Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will drive the global expansion of Robin Radar’s Civil Aviation Market. They will specifically focus on expanding their US client base.

As a key relationship builder and trusted advisor, the Business Development Manager will have a deep understanding of individual client needs, challenges, and local regulatory environment. Prior knowledge about aviation industry expertise or radar technology is not required. However, this role should thrive on ‘hitting the ground running’ and drive the Civil Aviation sales pipeline in a fast-paced international work environment.

As an organized project manager, the Business Development Manager can work independently and prioritize tasks, stakeholders, and deadlines at the same time. They will wear multiple hats as a solution expert for Robin Radar as well as become a trusted advisor to the clients.

The Business Development Manager will report to the VP of Wind and Environmental Practice, and collaborate with the Managing Director of Scarecrow. This is new offering focuses on bird control at airports. It  involves significant travel and working with stakeholders around the world. When not traveling, the candidate can work from home or at the office in The Hague.

Robin Radar values ​​​​encourage people to connect face-to-face with other team members. They all meet monthly at the head office in The Hague, The Netherlands, for an interactive day of presentations. Company events and social outings are also organized throughout the year.
