FincoEnergies is an independent, leading supplier of (bio)fuels and decarbonization services for fuel distributors, transport companies, freight forwarders and cargo owners. The new Head of People & Culture will be responsible for optimizing and professionalizing all facets of HR strategy, policies, and operations in the context of organizational restructuring and cultural transformation.

In recent years, the company has been through a significant transformation journey, following the acquisition of GoodNRG and the subsequent decision to integrate the GoodBrands into the company. FincoEnergies has grown to a workforce of 280 people within a new structure of four main divisions: road and inland marine, carbon management, international marine, and businesses in Germany and Switzerland. Fostering an optimal culture and distinctive talent development is a core element of sustained success. A strategic Head of People and Culture will guide the company through these changes as a strong influencer with the ability to convince and persuade others as well as gain support for the necessary changes.

Vacancy: Head of People & Culture

The Head of People & Culture will manage, optimize, and execute all HR aspects of the entire international organization of FincoEnergies. This includes daily HR management as well as creating policies, improving ways of working, and introducing standardization and best practices.

In terms of daily HR management, the Head of People & Culture steers all HR functions, from performance and productivity management to recruitment, from learning and development to payroll, and from employee journey optimization to case management –
among other domains. This includes the relevant operational and administrative tasks. As the sparring partner to the CEO, they are responsible for identifying new projects in addition to existing priorities. They will develop a strong performance culture and lead with forward thinking on organizational requirements in the context of the company’s strategy. They will also provide serious transformation support, helping the company navigate and manage change as well as managing conflicting requirements.

The Head of People & Culture maintains excellent relationships with both the company’s senior leadership and its local teams and managers, allowing for swift consultation and effective implementation of solutions when specific questions or cases arise. For this, they need to be an excellent stakeholder manager and an easily approachable, well-trusted networker and advisor. At the same time, they can manage expectations and know when and how to stand their ground in a discussion, building trust by prioritizing clarity, fairness, and professionalism. Aside from the recent reorganization, FincoEnergies is also undergoing a cultural transformation, focusing on rewriting policies around bonuses and redundancy planning – among other topics. The Head of People & Culture will identify, set up, and deliver several special projects related to this cultural transformation and the strategic organizational challenges that exist at FincoEnergies.

This role joins the Management Team and reports directly to the CEO.
