Nuud is revolutionizing how deodorants are made with all-natural ingredients that benefit the body and the planet. Distribution is fully climate neutral, packaging recyclable and biodegradable. An effective supply chain is vital to meet the scale-up’s growth. The Supply Chain Manager will automate and optimize processes to ensure flawless operations as volumes and SKUs increase.
About Nuud
Nuud is an Amsterdam-based scale-up and the first natural deodorant brand without the disadvantages of traditional deodorants. Their products are harmless to the body, yet highly effective.
Nuud’s concentrated cream is made entirely with natural ingredients. The active compound is micro silver, which neutralizes the bacteria that cause odor. The other ingredients are natural oils that care for the skin and maintain the micro silver. Unlike other products, Nuud has no aluminum salts or parabens and contains no artificial fragrances or alcohol.
“Nuud is good for your body as well as our planet. We minimize shipping, our products are completely vegan, and our packaging is made of one hundred percent recyclable sugar cane and unbleached, biodegradable cardboard. We also compensate emissions to make sure our distribution is fully climate neutral.” – Martijn van Seters, co-founder and Managing Director of Nuud
Launched in 2017, Nuud already has annual revenues exceeding ten million euros and more than 1.5 million people worldwide are excited about its products. The scale-up currently employs about twenty FTEs. Their products are sold in more than one hundred countries, and mainly focus on Western Europe and new markets in the US and UK.
Nuud’s success is mainly thanks to a direct-to-consumer approach that leverages the power of e-commerce, social media, and their customers’ engagement. To continue its rapid growth, Nuud is adding new product categories and shifting its business model towards an omnichannel strategy. They’re also expanding their retailer network in key markets such as France, DACH, and the Benelux.
Vacancy: Supply Chain Manager
Nuud’s Supply Chain Manager will lead the production, fulfillment, and worldwide shipments. Their priority will be to automate processes, implement a new ERP solution (Odoo), and optimize workflows. The Supply Chain Manager will join Nuud’s leadership team. They’ll work closely with the company’s founders and four other leads in charge of Marketing, Influencer Marketing, B2B, and Design.
“We’re a group of creative and driven entrepreneurs. We believe in empowering our people to focus on what they think adds the most value to the business. The new Supply Chain Manager should thrive in an environment that offers lots of freedom and welcomes the opportunity to build and grow.” – Tom Baas, co-founder of Nuud
Today, Nuud’s logistics are getting more and more complex. The company ships millions of items each year, sources all of its components from different suppliers, and is quickly adding SKUs, from new product categories to promotional wrappings. Shifting to an omnichannel business model is also adding to this role’s complexity and its exciting dynamics. To be successful in this aspect, the Supply Chain Manager needs the analytical expertise to oversee the entire process, ensure flawless execution, and push for automation.
The position also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders, including suppliers, fulfillment partners and other companies in the value chain. The Supply Chain Manager will actively dive into data to analyze sales figures, make accurate forecasts, and optimize inventory positions. These responsibilities illustrate the flexibility and versatile skillset – from communications to analytics – needed for success.
The main challenge for this role will be to automate and improve Nuud’s supply chain processes. As the company continues to grow, the Supply Chain Manager will have the opportunity to broaden their scope towards process optimization and product development. That’s why this role is an ideal fit for someone who can drive growth, effectively prioritize, and is energized by contributing to Nuud’s further international expansion.
