Job description: Business Development Modeler
As VTTI continues to grow, their new Business Development Modeler will make sure they continue to work as efficiently and as data-driven as possible.
This role is ideal for someone with a high-growth-oriented mindset. That’s because VTTI will keep expanding and needs someone with considerable financial and analytical acumen to analyze new opportunities in this fast-moving sector.
Assessing potential assets is an essential part of the role. They will value sales propositions for acquisition at the right price. In addition, the Business Development Modeler will apply sound models and analysis to help identify other, perhaps undervalued, or potential opportunities.

Inside the role of Business Development Modeler
The Business Development Modeler will report to Federico Petersen, the Global Head of Business Development. They will also work with regional Business Developers to ensure that risk, value, and opportunities are clearly and easily identified in various markets.
This role will maintain and develop complex financial models for budgeting and reporting processes and identify long-term strategic opportunities. It’s a complex role, often dealing with ambiguity, and it requires the Business Development Modeler to work assertively and deliver results, sometimes with limited information. They will also liaise with investors, commercial teams, finance, treasury, and tax professionals, and must be able to communicate and work with professionals at all levels.
In addition, the BDM will work on various projects at the same time in different regions. For example, converting a terminal in South Africa or assisting with the transaction of a big project in Chile, where they work closely with other VTTI teams to prepare financial models.
