Vacancy: Director Financial Due Diligence

Svalner Atlas Advisors is establishing a Financial Due Diligence (FDD) practice in the Netherlands in response to increasing client needs and to strengthen its M&A offering. The Director will be one of the first senior hires in this entrepreneurial team, working alongside the FDD Partner to deliver complex due-diligence projects and build a high-performing team. This is a rare opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up, making a visible impact within a fast-growing international firm and contributing directly to a long-term success story.

The Director will manage financial due diligence assignments end-to-end, from analysis and modeling to reporting and client interaction. The Dutch team collaborates closely with its colleagues across the Nordic and Benelux network, contributing to knowledge-sharing, methodology, and best practice. The practice is already supported by international secondments, giving the Dutch team direct access to Nordic expertise and creating early opportunities for cross-border collaboration.

This hands-on role combines strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery, balancing project leadership with the willingness to roll up their sleeves. The candidate will build trusted relationships with clients and identify opportunities for value creation and growth. They will also mentor managers and consultants, shape the team’s development, and support commercial expansion. Long-term, Svalner Atlas Advisors aims on scaling the practice to between fifteen and twenty professionals within two years, delivering consistent recurring revenue, and establishing Svalner Atlas Advisors as the leading independent alternative to the Dutch private equity mid-market.

The preferred candidate is an experienced FDD professional with a strong track record in private equity transactions and a proven ability to create opportunities through client relationships. They are technically strong, commercially aware, and eager to contribute beyond delivery, by shaping methodology, driving business, and building a team.
