Mission statement
As an executive search firm, our mission is to help businesses become future-proof by identifying, attracting, and placing top candidates. The future of business is inextricably linked to the future of our planet, and the biggest challenge facing us today is the climate crisis. That’s why we are dedicated to helping companies build teams that will not only drive their own success but also make a positive and measurable contribution to a more sustainable future for all.
We are committed to working with companies that share our belief in the importance of taking action on climate change and are dedicated to creating a sustainable future. We want to be part of the solution, not just talk about it. Helping climate-positive organizations recruit the very best candidates is an integral part of reaching our own climate goals. However, start-ups, NGOs or other early-stage climate-positive initiatives often don’t have the budget to hire a professional executive search agency. In previous years, we have offered our services free of charge to climate-promising scale-ups.
The Climate Positivity Program is the next step in this initiative.
NOMINATE A CLIMATE-POSITIVE SCALE-UPSustainability scale-ups we worked for in 2022
Step 1: Map relevant climate-positive scale-ups
Just like a successful executive search assignment, the Climate Positive Program starts with mapping the market. That’s why we are inviting our network to nominate European scale-ups doing important and disruptive work to combat climate change.
The deadline for nominations is May 1st, 2023.
Step 2: Nourish the European ecosystem
Based on all submissions received by May 1st, Top of Minds will create a top-50 list of the most promising climate-positive scale-ups in Europe. We intend to publish this long-list because we believe in the power of transparency, visibility and connecting like-minded people and businesses. The list will give recognition to the companies that will curb climate change. This publication may help scale-ups connect with peers throughout Europe to exchange ideas and learnings, future investors, candidates who want to use their skills to do good, or other partnerships. Ultimately, presenting the list of scale-ups that manage to unite purpose with profit may contribute to a growing optimism and confidence that it can indeed be done. We hope to help the listed scale-ups accelerate their growth as well as inspire others to take the leap.
Step 3: Climate Positivity Awards
On World Environment Day (June 5th, 2023), Top of Minds will host the Climate Positivity Awards Ceremony to announce the Top-10 of most promising green scale-ups in Europe.
A panel of experts in the fields of business and climate change will select the Top-10 scale-ups. The jury will be tasked with evaluating the nominations based on a set of criteria, including the company’s impact on sustainability, its scalability, and the strength of its leadership team. Furthermore, the goal is to identify which scale-ups have entered a phase of rapid growth, and are in need of high-level executives, but can’t afford an executive search agency yet.
All winners of a Climate Positivity Award will be offered a free placement to help them find the top talent they need to scale their impact and become future-proof.
