STX Group is a B2B scale-up in environmental commodities like carbon credits, biofuels, and renewables. They only trade in products that help reduce CO2 emissions. The Global Head of Corporate Communications will oversee all internal and external communications and grow and manage a solid team.
About STX Group
Thanks to pressure from regulations, shareholders, and corporate responsibility standards, it’s an ongoing challenge for companies to reduce their carbon footprints. Market leading STX supports these businesses by trading a wide variety of renewable energy products such as renewables, biofuels, and carbon credits. This way, the company invigorates the environmental commodities market’s liquidity, transparency, and availability. STX believes this makes a small – but necessary – contribution to the decarbonizing the global economy.
As a specialist trader in environmental commodities, STX does not build wind farms, operate solar parks, or execute large energy reduction projects. But every day, they strengthen the reliability and professionalism of these markets, and increase confidence in sustainable investments. STX’S building model has helped build trust in renewables markets, and stimulate the transition from pollution and the depletion of natural resources.
With headquarters in Amsterdam, STX is a global company with offices in New York, Singapore, Lyon, and Goteborg. The scaleup currently employs more than three hundred bright minds and expects to triple that number in the next few years. To date, the scaleup has been mainly operating under the radar. Part of their ambitious growth strategy is to strengthen its positioning as a reliable market and thought leader in environmental commodities.
Vacancy: Global Head of Corporate Communications
The Global Head of Corporate Communications will build and execute a corporate communications strategy from the ground up. They will ensure consistency in all of STX’s messaging across the globe, including social media. They must be able to respond quickly and effectively to situations that pose a potential risk to the company’s reputation. The Global Head of Corporate Communications will report to the COO, work closely with global leadership, and have the chance to build a team.
“The Global Head of Corporate Communications is the eyes and ears of our company, internally and externally. To optimally represent the STX brand, they should be able to simplify complex messages and develop a feel for the nuances in our industry.” —Martin Straver, COO of STX
For each communication strategy, the Global Head of Corporate Communications will establish the proper messaging and channel and coordinate the process. Sometimes, they will act as a company spokesperson. The Global Head of Corporate Communications will also build strong relations with media outlets. Public relations, public affairs, and CSR will be a broad scope of the role, and they will frequently collaborate with business, Legal, and People teams. They will also coordinate with external agencies and build and lead their own team of communication experts. As one of STX’s primary positioning owners, this role will contribute to the future success of a fast-growing international finance organization with a strong environmental signature.
