Customer & Shopper Marketing Team
The newly established Global Customer and Shopper Marketing team plays a vital role in HOYA’s ongoing pursuit to maintain its leading position in the eye care industry. They work within the Global Marketing department, report directly to the CMO, and closely collaborate with the sales team. Their main goal is to promote category growth by providing customers – mainly independent opticians and retail chains – with insights into category and shopper behaviors. This way, they can identify growth opportunities and identify the most effective strategies to capitalize on. The team translates global company strategies that match highly personalized customer needs. It’s a collaborative effort between global teams, from brand and category to communications, as well as local marketing and sales teams in the many regions where HOYA is active.
Vacancy: Global Customer & Shopper Marketing Manager
The Global Customer and Shopper Marketing Manager is the driving force behind the organization’s shift towards a more customer and shopper-centric approach. To achieve this, product, campaign, and training materials are tailored to boost category growth, as well as partnering with their customers. With a deep understanding of consumers and market dynamics, the data-driven Global Customer and Shopper Marketing Manager is on top of the patient and shopper journeys to provide a seamless, integrated on- and offline, highly personalized experience. They will collaborate closely with customers to identify shoppers’ requirements and growth opportunities, to help in the strategic selection of the optimal product assortment. This customer-centric approach also steers the creation and roll out of HOYA’s global customer loyalty programs, POS, events and the global webshop, which this role will also manage.
In day-to-day operations, the Global Customer and Shopper Marketing Manager works with global and local sales, brand, and marketing teams, and with external agencies responsible for campaign and category development. They will manage three Customer and Shopper Activation Specialists and report directly to the Global Strategic Customer and Shopper Marketing Director.
