STX Group helps companies reduce their carbon footprint by trading renewable energy products. As they lead the global shift from environmental pollution and the depletion of natural resources, STX aims to achieve full transparency on the contribution or pollution value of any company, product, or service. To support their international expansion, a new Head of HR Services will help STX streamline processes to attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent.
About STX Group
With increasing regulations, shareholder demands, and corporate responsibility standards, more companies are focusing on how to reduce their carbon footprints. Market maker STX helps them by trading a variety of renewable energy products like renewables, biofuels, and carbon credits, which enhance the environmental commodities market’s liquidity, transparency, and availability.
Founded in 2005, STX specializes in environmental commodities. Over the years, they’ve transformed from a commodities broker into a trusted leader along the entire value chain. With a dedicated team of more than 500 people from over sixty different nationalities, they have offices across the globe, including The Netherlands (HQ), UK, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, U.S, Hungary, Belgium, Poland, and Singapore. STX offers a comprehensive service for trading and investing in environmental commodities, as well as helping corporations to decarbonize.
By 2050, STX plans to achieve full transparency on the contribution or pollution value of any company, product, or service. To support the international expansion efforts needed to achieve these goals, their People and Culture team is creating and implementing a strategic vision to improve how the company attracts, develops, and retains talent.
Vacancy: Head of HR Services
The Head of HR Services for STX will play a pivotal role in strategically aligning and enhancing HR processes and information systems, providing advice, ticketing, and overseeing the six-member team. This leadership position involves close collaboration with and direct reporting to Carolien Handlogten, the Head of People and Culture at STX Group.
Primarily tasked with strategic alignment, professionalization and refinement of HR Services, this role will develop new processes and systems and optimize existing ones. Their main goal is to streamline HR operations, foster increased efficiency, and reduce errors and pressure. A vital aspect of their strategy will be to establish global processes and systems that facilitate seamless onboarding, self-service environments, and managing benefits and pensions as STX expands into new countries, or when personnel undergo relocations, ensuring a first-time-right experience.
In addition, the Head of HR Services will play a key role in cultivating a solid team environment among the six current team members — with a few upcoming additions. By fostering improved collaboration, mutual reliance, and collective growth, the team’s HR advisors and HR Ops personnel will function as a united and synergized team.
Working with Human Capital Development and Talent Acquisition, the Head of HR Services will translate broader human capital development strategies into actionable priorities, projects, and operations within the team. Maintaining a comprehensive overview of current activities and future needs, this leader will exhibit a forward-looking mindset, and anticipate future requirements.
Critical to their success, this role has successfully advised and — more importantly — implemented HR information and ticketing systems, or enhancements in past roles. Managerial experience in HR advice and HR operations is essential, demonstrating expertise and leadership acumen in navigating similar challenges.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a structured and proactive, data-driven approach, with leadership skills and the ability to translate higher-order strategies into day-to-day management. They will have the opportunity to make their mark in supporting STX’s ambitions to expand their leadership position in carbon reduction and green energy trading.
