ASML – one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment –is hiring a Director Sustainability Strategy to find ways to significantly and sustainably increase enterprise value. In strong collaboration with ASML’s stakeholders, he/she is the company-wide sustainability ambassador with strong internal and external exposure.

VACANCY: DIRECTOR SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

The Director Sustainability Strategy leads ASML’s global efforts on sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). He/she manages a team of 2 people and is part of the Corporate Strategy department.

SUSTAINABLE VALUE CREATION

The Director Sustainability Strategy is responsible for developing the overall global sustainability strategy. He/she connects business strategy with sustainability priorities across ASML and engages senior leaders to embed sustainability drivers in value creation processes.

For ASML, sustainability is not just a by-product. The Director Sustainability Strategy develops innovative measures that enable significant and sustainable enterprise value and uses his/her strategic capabilities to craft new business opportunities in the sustainability space.

CSR AMBASSADOR

The Director Sustainability Strategy is a thought leader that catalyzes the rest of the organization in reaching sustainability priorities and facilitates CSR execution in the line. He/she provides visibility on CSR performance by building a company-wide intelligence and benchmarking fact base.

Sustainability touches every part of the organization. Therefore, the Director Sustainability Strategy interacts with stakeholders throughout ASML and supports for example the integration of sustainability in the employee experience and life cycle. That gives the role great visibility to the entire business, from top to bottom and from Sales to R&D, making it an ideal landing spot.

PROFILE

  • 10+ years of relevant working experience in sustainability strategy or with a top tier strategy consulting firm at Principal level with projects in sustainable value creation (e.g. in Energy & Environment)
  • Deep understanding of how to catalyze sustainability innovation in an organization in order to increase business value
  • Comfortable to work on the cutting edge of markets, products and technological innovation
  • Highly analytical and strong business sense
  • Problem-solver and systems thinker with strong delivery capability
