Wessanen Benelux is the company behind brands like Clipper Tea and Zonnatura. The organization is founded more than 250 years ago. It is currently active in Europe in the field of organic products. “And the results are good”, says Ronald Merckx (CFO Wessanen): “We are growing faster than the market, leaving us with more money to invest in our brands.” That means expanding the brand portfolio, adding new products and encouraging innovation. Zonnatura, for example, has developed thirty new products in 2014 and is now in the top hundred biggest brands, with an average sales growth of 20 percent.
Wessanen’s mission is ‘healthier food, healthier people, healthier planet’. This is incorporated in all activities of Wessanen Benelux and tangible throughout the organization. Jeroen Mustert (General Manager Wessanen Benelux): “That makes working at Wessanen more than just a job. Our Green Team organizes multiple activities during the year and makes our colleagues aware of their footprint. Every Thursday it’s Veggie Thursday, in November 2015 we planted our own forest and there are seminars at our office throughout the year.
