Global Leadership Gateway Assignment: Implementation Manager
In the global Customer Lifecycle Management team, there is room for a senior professional on the way to leadership. Please refer to the Global Leadership Gateway deck for more information about this leadership program and its rotational setup.
Working at OLX
OLX, part of the global platform operator Naspers, is the world’s leading classifieds platform focused on high growth markets. They have a clear purpose – to empower millions of people across the globe by helping them connect and share their goods and services. This inspiring purpose has helped OLX to build their scale, serving over 240 million unique users every month and generating over 11 billion monthlypage views in more than 40 countries. They have over 1.000 committed employees making a difference from over 20 offices. Another major factor in their growth has been the care of Naspers. The unique DNA of this highly entrepreneurial conglomerate is a major asset. The way they succeed in uniting and empower different cultures in emerging markets is unprecedented. Working at OLX means being part of an entrepreneurial culture that is open to new ideas, new ambition and new opportunities.
The implementation manager
There is a rotation opportunity available within the global CLM team. The Implementation Manager will spend a number of months “shadowing” the current director of the team, Dobo Radichkov. After this initial stage, the Implementation Manager will take over this role and lead the team further. The global CLM team is very well regarded at all levels in the organization. To maintain and enhance its reputation as a front-runner, Dobo’s successor will have to be equally strong at the business end and the (data) technological end.
For the Global Leadership Gateway, Naspers is looking at strong e-commerce professionals with strategic consulting backgrounds and managerial experience. However, this job requires more specific skills. Starting point is an unrelenting passion for data. That passion permeates the whole team, so the future leader should not fall short. Furthermore, there is a need to combine business savviness with technical know-how. Anyone coming in from a consulting background should be willing to invest in data technology depth. Candidates with experience as a functional expert already immersed in e-commerce will need to show the potential to become a business and strategy leader. Either way, Dobo’s successor should be highly analytical and have the ambition to lead.
