The Director Group Strategy will support the Leadership Team to make the right decisions while bringing together the right balance of problem-solving rigor, people skills, and pragmatism to turn theory into decisions and actions.

The Strategy, Alliances & MI team consists of top-level strategists and industrial experts with wide-ranging backgrounds (including Bain, McKinsey, and Roland Berger) and is considered a talent pool for future Signify leaders. Collaborating with Signify Businesses, Markets and other functional teams on high impact projects with a mandate from the Leadership Team, this is a central team that drives deep business insights, actionable strategic direction and thought leadership for the company.

The Director Group Strategy will initiate and drive strategic projects across Signify businesses. They will manage working teams and senior stakeholders while actively coaching and developing Strategy team members, providing advice to the senior leadership, and facilitating strategic discussions in the broader teams.

A recent example of a typical project was defining the Connected & Intelligent Lighting strategy. The market landscape and customer needs are changing rapidly, with Signify leading the digitization of light. As part of a cross-functional team, the strategists helped plan Signify’s approach. This included identifying key market segments, laying out the technical roadmap, identifying organizational implications, and developing the plan for strategy execution. After a lively discussion with the Leadership Team, the new strategy received full support and is currently being executed.
