Taboola

Taboola

The days when we zapped past dozens of channels from the couch hoping to see something we like are far behind us. Welcome to the digital age, when we want to be served our needs anytime, anywhere on any device. With that thought in mind, entrepreneur Adam Singolda founded Taboola in 2007: a discovery & native advertising platform that ensures that people get to see what they find interesting, when they feel like it.

Fast forward to 2021. Today, Taboola is known as the company that places the “content you may like” widget under articles and on homepages of publishers such as Bloomberg, NBC and Cosmopolitan. Every day, more than 500 million (!) people use Taboola, showing them more than 450 billion different types of content – videos, blogs, articles, products and apps – from 9,000 publishers and from more than 13,000 advertisers. For publishers, brands and advertisers, Taboola offers the perfect opportunity to generate traffic, and show these visitors organic and sponsored content during different touch points.

>$1 billion in revenue
What started with a handful of employees in a Tel Aviv office grew in ten years into one of the world’s largest discovery platforms with more than 1,500 employees worldwide. Recently, Taboola passed the magical $1 billion revenue mark

Next stop: the Netherlands
Over the past decade, Taboola opened offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, New Delhi, Bangkok, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Beijing, Shanghai, Istanbul, Seoul, Sydney, Tokyo, Berlin, Madrid and Paris, among others. This fall, Amsterdam will be added to the list. The company already set foot on Dutch soil in recent years, but never before operated from the heart of the market.
