VetFamily was founded in Denmark in 2000. The goal of the founders was clear: to unburden veterinarians so that they can devote their time and attention fully to caring for animals. By creating a platform for joint activities in procurement, knowledge sharing, education and marketing, among others, VetFamily has been fulfilling that mission for many years.
Until 2018, VetFamily was part of AniCura. When it was acquired by US-based Mars Petcare, VetFamily continued on its own. With success, VetFamily now operates in nine countries – including Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Spain – and is in the process of global expansion. At home and abroad, VetFamily is considered the leading collective of independent veterinary practices.
In the Netherlands, VetFamily is the biggest player for independent veterinary practices. A position it owes to its wide range of services aimed at making veterinary clinics professional and future-proof. VetFamily’s members are not only fully relieved of their worries, but the organisation also helps them develop marketing activities, achieve procurement savings and advises vet clinics on all kinds of other strategic and operational issues.
