Vention

In 2014, two fellow TU Eindhoven students Hans de Penning and Frank Poort co-founded FRANS Prototyping. With a starting capital of fifty euros and a passion for engineering, they achieved success with FRANS in ‘engineering as a service’: developing prototypes for B2B customers. Seven years and a name change later, twenty ambitious engineers (with a focus on embedded software and hardware) work at today’s Vention Technologies. With a newly hired CEO, the company achieves a turnover of over one million euros.

Different types of clients know how to find Vention for technological issues. Sometimes these are customers who have identified a problem in their production or logistics and do not have the knowledge or capacity to solve it in-house. Such issues require technical advice. For this, Vention offers consulting services.

In other cases, the customer has an idea for a new product, but is unable to manufacture this idea itself. For example, due to lack of capacity, lack of specific knowledge and skills, or because prototyping is not a core business for such a client. In such cases, Vention’s engineers are put to work on full product development, from idea and concept to prototype and product development. They do this by throwing themselves passionately into the technology. The motto is: don’t spend too long discussing theory, but above all take action quickly and solve the problem together with the customer. Vention engineers never tire of technology and inventing!
