Impact-driven mission
Solar Monkey’s mission is to accelerate the solar market – and thus the energy transition – through smart software. Solar Monkey’s clients are solar panel installers. Thanks to Solar Monkey, they can create new project plans, calculate quotes, and share them with consumers at the touch of a button – all without the need to physically come over and climb onto the roof. Solar Monkey, since its inception in 2015, has now enabled the installation of 600,000 solar panel systems in the Netherlands.

All vacancies and jobs at Solar Monkey revolve around this mission. The company has idealism in its DNA. This is combined with a great interest in technology; not surprising, since Solar Monkey was founded by alumni of TU Delft. Of course, vacancies at Solar Monkey also include non-technical positions, such as in the commercial teams.

Scalability and agility
Solar Monkey is growing fast. The Dutch market for solar panels is now mature, but for some European countries this is not yet true. Solar Monkey therefore sees opportunities in international growth. Also growth in the area of product portfolio, for example in supporting customers in monitoring and maintenance, is among the possibilities. Either way, Solar Monkey is scaling and remains constantly agile in that process. The research team keeps its finger on the pulse of the rapidly changing, international market, and the passionate colleagues at Solar Monkey seize every new challenge and adjust quickly where necessary.
