Medux

We are getting older on average. As a result, the total demand for care is increasing year on year. At the same time, we want to live longer at home and spend less time in hospitals and nursing wards. To make this possible, Medux supplies more than one and a half million care and rehabilitation aids per year to health insurers, (local) governments, care institutions, care professionals and people in their home situation. In doing so, the company increases the participation opportunities of healthcare consumers and contributes to keeping healthcare affordable.

Medux consists of several labels that all stand for care and well-being. The two largest are Medipoint and HartingBank. Medipoint focuses on consumers and supplies rollators, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and beds, among other things. Under the HartingBank label, Medux focuses on aids and services to healthcare organizations such as nursing and care homes, institutions for the disabled, hospitals and rehabilitation centers. In total, the entire company employs some 2,600 people in the Netherlands.

Partly due to the aging population and the desire to live at home into old age, Medux is growing rapidly and is expected to continue to do so in the coming years. To capitalize on this, the company is focusing on acquisitions, business development and innovation. For example, Medux recently entered into a partnership with Medequip – supplier of aids and service services to municipalities, among others. With this cooperation, Medux has strengthened its position as market leader in Europe and created opportunities for further acquisitions and partnerships. In addition, the increasing scale enables the company to efficiently and affordably provide an ever wider group of customers with high-quality aids that improve the quality of life.
