Maykers Maykers

Maykers

Calling Maykers an ‘Agribaba’ is too short of the mark. In fact, besides demanders (farmers) and suppliers (producers), there is also room for distributors and suppliers. Maykers encourages producers to bring their own distributors so that the value they add is preserved. In addition, Maykers supports these producers and distributors to become successful in the (sometimes new) digital world.

Since its launch in 2020, the company has rolled out its platform in Denmark and now employs 45 people at its headquarters in Utrecht. Founders Alexander and Jerome received funding from the Kramp Group. With this established corporate backing, the start-up stands firm and has the desired clout. Which is just as well, because its ambitions are big. Over the next five years, Maykers wants to roll out in 8 to 10 European countries.

What makes Maykers an atypical start-up is that the company is part of the Kramp Group. That has strong advantages, for instance in terms of budget, but can also be tricky. Bringing digital transformation to a traditional world is also a challenge.
