We spend one-third of our lives in bed. How sinful is it to do so under mediocre bedding? But high-quality bedding – usually made of Egyptian cotton – comes with a hefty price tag. “That has to change,” thought founder Jorien Huigen. The entrepreneur found the answer in a similar, affordable type of cotton to the Egyptian variety. Determined to introduce consumers to high-quality bedding, JOARZ was launched in mid-2017.
Monthly growth rates of 35% provide compelling evidence that the story and product are catching on. Much of JOARZ’s success is due to its explicit emphasis on customer experience. JOARZ does not just sell a functional product, but puts the entire customer experience first. Branding and the overall customer journey are therefore at the top of the priority list.
After success in the Netherlands and Belgium, this fall it will be Germany’s turn. In addition to sales through its own webshop, the opening of its own physical stores may also be on the agenda in the future, with or without the addition of other products. There is still a world to be won, and that is exactly what JOARZ is planning.
