Fento is the story of a sailmaker who had persistent pain in his knees. Despite several treatments with a physiotherapist, the pain kept coming back. The moment the sailmaker and the physiotherapist joined forces marked the beginning of Fento. The result: an ergonomic knee brace that means people who work on their knees no longer suffer from knee or back pain. Especially considering that most people in construction are self-employed, a good physical constitution is worth a lot.
For road workers, roofers, parquet layers and gardeners, Fento’s ergonomic kneepads are the key to a pain-free working day. Because the hard-wearing protectors ensure that the pressure is distributed over the entire lower leg – instead of only on the knees – they can perform their work complaint-free. In recent years, with tens of thousands of satisfied customers in this niche market, Fento established market leader status in the Benelux.
Early this year, private equity party Auxilium Capital acquired a significant stake in the company. This puts Fento in an even better position to consolidate the growth of recent years and realise its growth ambitions for the future. These are no mean feat: over the next three years, Fento aims to more than double its turnover. The new Sales Manager plays a crucial role in realising that ambition.
