Vacancy: Global Data Science Lead

TVH is on an important journey to improve the company’s access to strategic data and insights. The Global Data Science Lead will take charge of improving TVH’s data science capabilities and using it to develop business strategies and stimulate growth.

As the organization’s main point of contact related to AI and data, the Global Data Science Lead will be responsible for setting up, overseeing, and continuously improving the capabilities of the company’s central data science platform. They are an expert in analytics embedded in global organizations and have proven experience handling large datasets, reporting automation and data visualization techniques.

The Global Data Science Lead will enable the formation of TVH’s future Center of Excellence and their innovative data solutions will generate critical business insights used by key decision makers. Through the automation, centralization, and standardization of data related tools, they will drive the optimization of important business processes such as the measurement of price elasticity, supply chain forecasting, strategic workforce planning, hubs capacity management.

The Global Data Science Lead is goal-oriented and achieves results through clear communication and stimulating effective teaming within the international matrix working environment. They will report to the Global Director of Data & Analytics and play an important role in building up the data science team as the organization continues to grow their capacities related to data. They will manage a team of data scientists and will work closely with Business, IT and Analytics to identify data science use cases and prioritize tasks based on business needs and value.
