Het Anton Jurgens Fonds

The Anton Jurgen Fund (AJF) was founded in 1925 by Anton Jurgens, co-founder of Unilever. Besides entrepreneurship, social awareness and compassion for fellow human beings played an important role when the family fund was founded. These values are still guiding almost a hundred years later.

The AJF believes in a society with opportunities for all. Within its Dutch portfolio, the fund strengthens social enterprises that offer people who are outside the employment process a chance to participate socially and economically. Not only by contributing financially to the social enterprise, but also by making them part of the fund’s extensive network and business expertise. In this way, the AJF already strengthens more than 40 initiatives in the Netherlands that want to grow to fulfil their social mission.
