Electra: Fast charging made easier
Electra is a European specialist in fast charging for electric vehicles. The company was founded in 2021 with a clear mission: to make cities cleaner and quieter by removing the biggest barrier to electric driving – fast and efficient charging. Electra develops and operates a network of fast charging hubs, where drivers can recharge hundreds of kilometers of range in an average of twenty minutes. The user experience is central to this: an intuitive app, features such as Autocharge, and clear pricing make charging as easy and predictable as possible, in places where people already go – at supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and urban parking garages.
Rapid European growth supported by long-term investors
In just a few years, Electra has grown into one of the fastest-growing fast-charging networks in Europe. The company has now installed more than 2,000 fast-charging points and is continuing to expand its position as a leading European player in ten countries. The goal is to have approximately 8,000 charging points in use by 2030, including more than 600 in the Netherlands. This growth is supported by a solid capital base. In recent years, Electra has raised more than €600 million in capital, including from institutional investor PGGM.
