About Astrape Networks
Astrape Networks was launched in 2022 as a spin-off from Eindhoven University of Technology, with the support of deep tech accelerator HighTechXL. Its mission: to revolutionise the future of AI-driven data centres. At the heart of its approach is EFFINITI, a scalable and energy-efficient networking solution that can handle fifty per cent more computing power and requires fewer servers. By reducing both investment and operational costs, EFFINITI enables faster processing, higher efficiency and significant savings for modern AI infrastructures.
From prototype to product
Following an extensive R&D phase, the prototype is almost complete and will soon be reduced to the size of two pizza boxes. The first pilot programmes will start in 2026, followed by commercial prototypes in 2027. The official market launch is planned for 2028.
Funding
Since its inception, Astrape Networks has completed several rounds of funding. In the early stages, approximately €1.6 million in pre-seed capital was raised, including from Brabant Development Agency (BOM), Rabobank, PhotonDelta, the Brabant Startup Fonds and Shift Invest. This was followed in April 2025 by a seed round of €7.9 million. With this new investment, Astrape Networks can further refine its technology, expand its team and make the transition from research to concrete market application.
