Amoena is the global market leader for post-operative breast care and manufactures highly innovative products in the areas of recovery care, breast prosthetics and breast care textiles. The Controller will be responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the company’s North American operations, increasing efficiencies and driving growth in the region.

About Amoena

Breast cancer is now the most frequently diagnosed type of cancer in women worldwide, accounting for almost 25%, and increasingly more women are opting for subsequent surgery for a variety of reasons. Amoena provides women diagnosed with breast cancer with highly innovative products in the areas of recovery care, breast prosthetics and breast care textiles to help them return to a normal life.

Amoena’s founder had a vision to improve the care of women with breast cancer following a mastectomy. In 1984, the company developed and patented the first silicone breast prosthesis and has since become the global market and quality leader in the breast care segment. To date, Amoena has sold over 17 million breast prostheses and 34 million breast care textiles worldwide and is the recipient of multiple patents for materials and manufacturing methods as well as international design and innovation prizes.

Based in Raubling, Germany near Lake Chiemsee, the company has 400 employees worldwide, 200 of which are located at the headquarters in Raubling. In addition to the German headquarters, where the prostheses are manufactured, Amoena has 15 subsidiaries on all continents and a sales partner network covering more than 60 countries.

Vacancy: Controller – North America

Amoena’s products can be life changing for women around the world. The company is focused on continuing to expand their product portfolio and their global reach to support even more women who have been affected by breast cancer. The Controller will play a critical role within the growth and success of Amoena’s North American business. Responsible for all financial and operational tasks within Amoena USA, the candidate will confidently lead their team, driving efficiency, optimizing finance, HR and logistics, and ensuring compliance within this innovative international company’s North American subsidiary.

Based in Kennesaw, Georgia, the Controller will manage a team of five FTEs, four of which are based in the US and one in Canada. This hands-on role includes a unique blend of financial leadership, operational excellence, and strategic partnership. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of financial expertise, leadership acumen, and cultural adaptability.

As the chief architect of the company’s North American financial strategy, the Controller spearheads short-term and long-range planning initiatives, forecasting, and reporting to support the subsidiary’s strategic objectives.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and enforcing performance KPIs across sales, operations, and working capital.
  • Conducting budget and estimate planning for the region.
  • Providing strategic commercial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and sales organization.
  • Driving operational efficiency and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Carefully monitoring day-to-day operations and navigating the complexities of corporate governance, policies, and SOPs.
  • Overseeing all aspects of financial and regulatory compliance: including full-spectrum accounting and bookkeeping, coordinating audits and tax filings, and ensuring adherence to IFRS and other statutory requirements.
