Vacancy:Fund Controller
To reinforce its pan-European platform, the firm is adding a Fund Controller based in Madrid. Acting as the key liaison between the Madrid headquarters, the Luxembourg funds team, and the Finance department, this position ensures consistent communication, alignment, and control across jurisdictions. It is a newly created role within a collaborative environment where new ideas are encouraged, offering high visibility both in Madrid and in Luxembourg, where all funds are managed.
The Fund Controller’s remit covers the full fund control cycle. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving quarterly NAV calculations, Capital Account Statements, and investor reporting; overseeing the preparation of annual financial statements for investment vehicles and holding companies; and coordinating annual audits with external advisors and auditors. The role also involves managing tax-related processes with external tax advisors, reviewing and approving capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations; and supervising payment processing, cost oversight, and liquidity management.
In addition, the Fund Controller monitors ongoing cash movements and develops cashflow forecasts to ensure timely and accurate execution across entities. The role supports reporting estimates and investor requests, while actively contributing to the improvement of existing policies and procedures and the implementation of technology solutions to enhance efficiency. This position is central to maintaining governance standards and operational effectiveness within the firm’s growing fund platform.

The successful candidate will bring three to five years of experience in fund controlling, audit, or financial reporting, ideally gained within a Big Four firm or a fund services provider. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical judgment are critical to manage complex data flows and reconciliations. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to navigate cross-border collaboration effectively.
