Vacancy

Associate - Deal Team

Bain Capital hires a class of Associates into its Deal Team every year. It is currently looking for a Dutch-speaking Associate to join the 2027 class, sitting within the European Private Equity team in the London office.

Bain Capital offers an Associate program designed to build future investors, through a model that blends on-the-job training with a structured development journey. The firm hires with a long-term view, investing in future leaders and supporting their growth and progression over time.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the deal process, across sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management. As an Associate, they will gain experience across a breadth of industries and geographies, working hands-on alongside experienced investors on early-stage prospects, live deals, and portfolio companies. Formal training supports this development throughout, from immersive onboarding to ongoing diligence and modeling workshops.

Responsibilities

As an investor, the Associate’s role will be to develop their own insights and form views on investment opportunities, and to work with management teams to drive value creation across the portfolio. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to sourcing by screening and researching new investment opportunities across the verticals
  • Conduct market, commercial, and competitive analysis to form a view on business quality
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate potential investments
  • Take ownership of specific due diligence workstreams, working with management teams and third-party advisers
  • Prepare investment committee materials setting out the opportunity, key risks, and recommendation
  • Support execution through to signing, with significant deal responsibility and direct exposure to senior members of the team
  • Work with portfolio companies and management teams to deliver value creation

The ideal candidate has spent the past few years analyzing companies at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or private capital firm, and has a genuine fascination with how businesses grow. At Bain Capital, that analytical work turns into investment views that carry real weight. The Associate is driven by intellectual curiosity and a high degree of ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that relies on close collaboration. Significant deal responsibility from the first year, combined with a program built to develop investors for the long term: for the right candidate, this is the first step toward becoming one of Bain Capital’s future leaders.
