Global Transformation Expert (GTE) team develops strategic transformation projects across the international bank’s organization. A small group of GTE consultants currently focus on organizational effectiveness. And the new Organizational Strategy Consultant should have experience as a consultant and related skills to lead and inspire the GTE team members.

About ING

ING is a global financial institution with a strong European base that is steadily expanding worldwide. Their vision is to ensure that people can always stay one step ahead, both personally and in business. With 57,000 employees, ING provides commercial banking services to more than forty million customers in over forty countries. All ING colleagues share the same key values: transparency, integrity, and social responsibility.

Last September, the Global Transformation Expert (GTE) team was created. It’s made up of consultants, change execution professionals, and process experts. Their mission is clear: to work with senior business owners and teams worldwide to increase effectiveness, accelerate delivery, and improve strategic decision-making within the bank. The Organizational Effectiveness team is part of the GTE team and is led by Aviv Doitch. They function like a boutique consultancy firm within ING, which will be expanded and strengthened with several additional Organizational Strategy Consultants in the months ahead.

The Organizational Effectiveness team establishes and improves target operating models, leadership positioning, performance management, measurement methodologies, and communication issues. Some examples include formulating a clearly defined vision narrative or objectives for a team or department, setting up an effective operating target model, or implementing a new method to measure results and successes. Connecting strategy and execution is central to all of the team’s work who work on complex, strategic transformation projects across business lines, domains, and countries.

Vacancy: Organizational Strategy Consultant

The existing Organizational Effectiveness team is made up of five international experts. There is a need for outstanding consulting skills to enable the team to work more effectively and efficiently. And the new Organizational Strategy Consultant is expected to add this value to the team. They must be equipped with a consultant’s “toolkit:” the ability to structure problems and take actions to solve them, synthesize clear takeaways from complex information, build trust with senior stakeholders, all with a strong organizational sensitivity. Other essentials include an extremely solutions-oriented mindset, resilience and excellent communication and social skills.

“In this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work and tackle complex challenges across a range of business units and functions, making a real impact on the organization. You’ll work closely with senior leaders in the bank and have the chance to grow your skills and advance your career towards an exciting and fulfilling future within ING Global” — Aviv Doitch, Expert Lead of Organizational Effectiveness Consulting of ING

The role is an excellent opportunity for a former consultant who wants to apply their banking and finance industry knowledge in an environment that offers both freedom and responsibility. It’s a unique chance to work on key strategic issues and get to know ING from the inside. Their projects are generally commissioned by people in very senior positions within the bank—tribe leads and COOs in various countries. As this is an international role, the Organizational Strategy Consultant can expect to enjoy a great deal of exposure. And once they prove their success, doors will open for this key role with excellent long-term opportunities.
