Their visionary new Lead Data Engineer will establish technical data and analytics standards and guide their team members.

Transavia’s Strategy, Data & Intelligence (SD&I) team is leading their transformation to a data-driven way of working. They advise departments about fact-based insights, and build data- and AI-solutions for Transavia’s customers and colleagues. The SD&I team was founded specifically to transform the entire organization from a data and analytics perspective. And the Lead Data Engineer is vital for their strategy.

Job description: Lead Data Engineer

The Lead Data Engineer will safeguard the technical quality of Transavia’s data and analytics solutions. They will lead the team’a ongoing development, focus on implementing best practices and improve technical and process-related ways of working. They have a clear view on data and analytics, and their role in the Transavia organization.

As a team member and a peer to fellow engineers, the Lead Data Engineer will drive the team from a subject-matter perspective. They stay up-to-date on recent field developments and effectively communicate their vision to their team as well as the broader Transavia organization.

By collaborating with their team, the Lead Data Engineer will manage and improve all components of the Azure data platform. These include data and machine learning pipelines, their data warehouse, power BI datasets and all supporting cloud components. They also coach other Data Engineers to help them grow in their role and skillsets.

The team reports to the Lead of Strategy, Data & Intelligence. Apart from Lead Data Engineers, the SD&I team consists of Lead Data Scientists Analytics Translators, Data Analysts, and Business Consultants. The Lead Data Engineer will also work with the Enterprise Data Architect, the Cloud Platform Team, and Transavia colleagues in the French data organization.
