Vacancy: Commercial Services Program Manager

The Commercial Services Program Manager is at the core of Verra Mobility’s growth in Europe and beyond. They are in charge of driving the portfolio of all technology and business projects internally and in cooperation with clients. Examples of projects include the implementation of a fleet management solution with a Spanish car lease company, the redesign of toll software internally and with an external UI vendor, and the integration of the back-office systems with the software platform of a car rental company.

In addition, the Program Manager has the responsibility and skillset to manage and communicate with stakeholders and conduct weekly and monthly reporting on milestones and risk mitigations. Some understanding of an agile way-of-working is useful.

Building the European Commercial Services markets requires dedicated attention to various aspects, many of which are projects under the Project Manager’s responsibility. The role requires a true program manager’s DNA to ensure that things get done and deliverables are achieved successfully. This means robust reporting skills, a strong results-oriented attitude, and a natural authority, especially when activities do not go as planned.

Given the company’s cross-border cohesion, it is essential that the Program Manager is culturally adaptive, particularly in the context of the US organizational culture that is ubiquitous in the European teams. Moreover, the Program Manager is part of the Project Management Office which consists of a number of Program- and Project Managers. The Project Management Office Director is based in the United States HQ and reports directly to the Verra Mobility board. The Project Management Office thereby has a high impact position in the organization.
