About THNK School of Leadership

THNK School of Leadership was founded in Amsterdam in 2010, based on the conviction that leadership is the lever for setting major societal challenges in motion. That idea still shapes its work today. The organisation supports leaders at companies such as ASML and Siemens Energy, and just as readily at non-profit organisations like KWF. Every engagement starts with an advisory question. Together with the board, THNK maps out where the organisation wants to go and what leadership it needs to get there. A fully tailor-made programme follows. Throughout delivery, the team remains at the table with senior management as a partner.

From leadership school to transformation company

Alongside programmes for the top of organisations, transformation work is taking up a growing share. These are the moments when an entire organisation has to start working differently, for instance after a merger or a carve-out. Through THNK World, its own peer-learning platform, the team reaches deep into middle management. This is how the school is evolving into a technology-driven transformation company. Demand for large-scale programmes now exceeds what the team can deliver. To realise its growth plans, THNK is building a new senior layer alongside its five partners and preparing for further international scaling.

Working at THNK

The office next to Artis has the feel of a social enterprise. Making an impact is the main driver, and as a certified B Corp, THNK links its work to the Sustainable Development Goals. The core team of 35 people works closely with a flexible network of more than a hundred facilitators and coaches. Lines are short, and the entrepreneurial spirit of the early days can still be felt. People who work here get room to help shape the offering, and they learn every day from partners with backgrounds at the top of consulting and leadership development. Mistakes count as learning moments. New colleagues join just as growth is accelerating.
