About Scholt Energy

Scholt Energy strives for a future in which climate-neutral energy is easily accessible to all businesses. It achieves this through three products and services: energy supply, renewable energy and flexibility, combined with a proactive service. In this way, the family-run business supports large commercial customers in taking concrete steps towards sustainability. Its clients include companies such as Delhaize, VDL Groep, Van der Valk Hotels, Fastned, BelOrta and OeTTINGER. Since its acquisition by investor Waterland in 2016, growth has gained further momentum. Today, more than four hundred specialists are working from offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria to conquer the energy market. In 2024, Scholt Energy recorded an annual turnover of 1.9 billion euros.

A distinctive approach

Scholt Energy’s strength lies in a flexible and smart procurement strategy, which enables customers to better manage their energy costs. Rather than simply offering fixed rates, procurement opportunities are tailored to market dynamics. This strikes a balance between certainty and financial benefit. Furthermore, Scholt Energy not only provides access to the energy market, but also practical advice and solutions to make sustainability a reality. Examples include green electricity, battery storage, solar panels or making the most of flexibility. This integrated approach enables businesses to shape their energy transition step by step, whilst keeping their costs under control. This leads to high customer satisfaction (NPS +40) and fulfils the company’s mission: to make climate-neutral energy achievable for all businesses.

Working at Scholt Energy

Scholt Energy’s culture still embodies the family-like atmosphere of its early years: personal, committed, with short lines of communication. From regional offices – including the head office at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven – driven professionals work in multidisciplinary teams serving the energy market in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria. They do so in a pleasant working environment where they are given a great deal of responsibility, freedom and trust. In this organisation, hard work goes hand in hand with a focus on personal development and plenty of opportunity for relaxation.
