Peddler vacancies

About Peddler
In 2019, James Klymowsky set out with a simple yet ambitious idea: to quickly connect consumers with products from retailers – ranging from household goods, boutique fashion and organic food to gifts – in their local area, and then deliver them by electric cargo bike. He developed a smart algorithm and launched the concept. Within a few years, 750 shops had already signed up. Then came the pandemic, followed by the rise of delivery services. Confident in its own capabilities, Peddler continued to grow in a controlled and smart manner. After a few pivots, the business model is now rock-solid: consumers receive their orders quickly, whilst local retailers benefit from a logistics solution powered by technology that is efficient, sustainable and reliable.
Sustainability
For Peddler, sustainability is more than just a buzzword: as a mission, it is deeply embedded in the company’s DNA. According to Peddler, logistics can be both fast and green, and this is reflected in everything the company does. From the use of refurbished laptops in the office to the fleet of nearly two hundred electric cargo bikes: every choice is a conscious one. Around four hundred riders cycle through Rotterdam, The Hague, Groningen, Eindhoven, Utrecht and Amsterdam every day. A simple calculation: electric cargo bikes emit ninety per cent less than traditional delivery lorries, enabling Peddler to save eight thousand kilograms of CO₂ every day. The platform serves both local retailers and large retail chains, as well as international brands, including Gall & Gall, DA, UPS, Plus, Nespresso and Scheltema.
Working at Peddler
The Peddler team consists of bright, intrinsically motivated people who all share the same ambition: to grow and make an impact. Four core values underpin the organisational culture: independence, teamwork, passion and data. Employees are given a great deal of responsibility and freedom to work together towards the mission. The constant drive to keep growing characterises the more than thirty staff members at the Amsterdam office. The ambitions are big: over the coming years, Peddler aims to operate in more than twenty Dutch cities. To enable the next phase of growth, the team is expanding, meaning there are currently various vacancies at Peddler.
