Knauf vacancies

Building materials with vision
Knauf is one of the world's largest producers of building materials, with a clear focus on gypsum products and drywall systems. In the Netherlands, Knauf holds a dominant position in the plastering market, is a preferred partner on large contractor projects, and develops smart prefab solutions for the construction of tomorrow. The product range is broader than often assumed: besides plasterboard and plaster, Knauf supplies ceiling, wall, and floor systems and, through the separate entity Knauf Insulation, a wide range of insulation materials. This allows Knauf to think along integrally on building projects, from specification to handover.
From family business to international growth engine
Knauf is, and remains, a family business, founded in 1932 by two brothers with a vision for gypsum. It has since grown into a global player with more than 43,000 employees in over ninety countries. Over the past five years, revenue doubled to 16 billion euros, partly thanks to the acquisition of market leaders such as USG in the United States. Despite this scale and the emergence of regional structures, local entrepreneurship remains a core principle. The Netherlands forms a Western European region together with Belgium, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom, among others, in which each country retains its own revenue responsibility and works closely with the others.
Working at Knauf
Around two hundred people work in the Netherlands within the gypsum and ceilings division. The organization is deliberately flat, without intermediate layers or heavy staff structures, so decisions are made quickly and ideas land directly. The company culture at Knauf is pragmatic, entrepreneurial, and collaborative, with ample room for responsibility and ownership. Working at Knauf means building the future of construction in an organization where strategy and practice sit close together.
