ING Business Banking focuses on business accounts, ranging from ‘micro enterprises’ (1 FTE) to midsize corporates. Across the seven countries- The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Turkey, Poland, Romania, and Germany- it has 2 million clients, €100 billion outstanding loans, and €3 billion in revenue. The division is led globally by Luc Truyens with a central team of 25 FTE. Its mission is to become the go-to place for clients to manage and accelerate their businesses, thereby always staying one step ahead.
Over the past few years, ING Business Banking has created a roadmap toward cutting-edge value propositions for its three segments: the fully digital Easy Banking for micro-businesses; Guided Banking -partially supported by an advisor- for larger enterprises; and the tailored Relationship Banking for midsize corporates. From now on, the seven countries will build digital value propositions together, and the Value Proposition Manager plays a key role in this cooperation.
In addition, ING Business Banking has started building strategic partnerships that can service their business clients. An example is a recently announced teaming-up with Amazon Germany, where businesses that are active on the Amazon Seller’s platform can apply for loans at ING directly through the Amazon platform.

Vacancy: Value Proposition Manager Business Banking
The Value Proposition Manager works together with other Global Business Banking Team-members in determining its direction and steering change across the seven countries. The team supports these countries in continuously improving and aligning on their Value Propositions to have a tangible and positive impact on clients. Sitting in a complex multi-stakeholder environment, requires a combination of business & IT knowledge, strategic thinking, hands-on change/project management, and practical delivery.
The Value Proposition Manager is positioned within the global organization. One key responsibility is to support the development of the Global Value Proposition Strategy for Business Segment. This includes tailoring the Strategy and aligning it with the countries down on a practical level and developing a KPI framework to measure and accelerate the roll-out with business customers across markets. Also, the Value Proposition Manager is responsible for change management and project delivery aimed at providing technical and intelligence capabilities for the countries. This involves preparing analysis and output documents to communicate results, direction, and requirements.
Furthermore, the Value Proposition Manager will build the community around Value Propositions to drive prioritization on country business agendas to include strategic roadmaps, capacity, and competency building, tooling, and solutions implementation, and thereby drive impact on business objectives. Being self-assured and proactive in identifying potential cross-fertilization and fruitful alignment and agreement between countries on Value Propositions is key. The Value Proposition Manager has complete ownership of these developments, working closely with countries and delivering multiple projects and topics simultaneously, sometimes with cross-functional or cross-cultural teams.
