Vacancy: Head of Customer Insights

OLX built a huge audience of Filipinos buying and selling in the Philippines. And, it’s growing fast. Now, they are faced with a great opportunity and challenge – to continue and accelerate user growth while building a great operational business. To do so and take things to the next level, they need to fundamentally understand their users at a much deeper level – both qualitatively and quantitatively. Any decision on topics such as go-to-markets, new product features, campaigns and monetization are based on research.

Type of work

The Head of Customer Insights will head both the Business Intelligence team and the User Experience team, taking them from a daily-duties routine to a truly ambitious level. OLX needs a strong business leader who can lead efforts in gathering consumer insights – through user research and through making sense of the sea of data collected on the platform from millions of active users. The Head of Customer Insights’ work will materially steer business strategies, product roadmap, growth initiatives, customer services procedures, and especially pricing and sales strategies. This position will be in the center of it all.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates need a broad research repertoire including data analysis in large volume environments, preferably online B2C. They know their way around data warehouses and A/B-testing, but also see the big (commercial) picture. In terms of UX, they are apt at interviewing and designing questionnaires that reach the core of the matter. Equally important is a strong set of people skills: the right candidate will be a culturally sensitive team manager. Previous experience in (or heritage from) South-East Asia is probably advantageous.
