Each year, Kramp continues to achieve strong growth. They now have eleven distribution centers, twenty-four sales offices, more than 3,500 employees, and over one billion euros in revenue. Strategic acquisitions are a key part of their expansion strategy. Through M&A, the wholesaler plans to expand its footprint in Europe and develop into adjacent markets, such as forest and grasscare, and construction.
Vacancy: Corporate Development Manager
The Corporate Development Manager will identify and implement initiatives that contribute to Kramp’s overall strategy. They will manage them from start to finish, stimulate cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment among stakeholders. They will report to the Corporate Development Director and have the freedom to work between Kramp’s headquarters in Varsseveld, the Kramp Hub in Utrecht, and remote working as well.

Project management makes up the core responsibility of this position. The Corporate Development Manager will take full ownership of initiatives, drive the content and achieve results within the given timeframe and budget. Their responsibilities include to define deliverables, scope, timelines, and milestones, set up business cases and manage ad-hoc requests. They will also conduct analyses, ensure coordination between different initiatives and departments, synthesize findings and present the results to management.
Specific projects the Corporate Development Manager could work on include the entry of new markets and industries, assortment and brand strategies, and accelerating country performances. And for the country-specific initiatives, they will collaborate with local teams which could require international travel. M&A will be another recurring focus. The Corporate Development Manager will be involved in evaluating acquisition candidates and driving post-acquisition integrations.
Cooperation and communication are key attributes of the Corporate Development Manager. They will guide colleagues in setting up and structuring initiatives, involve and inform the right stakeholders, and communicate proactively with senior management about progress and challenges.
The Corporate Development Manager will work at the intersection of strategy and M&A. They will have the opportunity to get to know the organization, learn everything there is to know about Kramp’s business, and have regular interactions with senior leadership. This makes the position a great stepping stone from strategy towards a position in line management.
