Vacancy: Category Manager of Gift Cards
The Category Manager of Gift Cards will be part of Recharge.com’s Category & Buying Team, one of the key pillars of the company’s future growth, reporting directly to the Director of Category & Buying, Jeroen Siegerink. Building and executing the gift cards category strategy is the full responsibility for this role. In Europe, it involves enhancing the existing assortment, driving a competitive pricing strategy, and liaising with brand partners – such as Zalando, Amazon, Airbnb, Walmart, H&M – about growing their categories. Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making are key. For new markets, this means strategizing with various stakeholders within the company. Gift cards is expected to be a high-growth category, with the objective of launching products into forty new markets over the next year, mainly in Asia and the Americas. The latter is a top priority for the Category Manager of Gift Cards. Thus, most of the work will focus on new markets, and a natural business development mindset is required.

Cryptocurrencies are another source of growth for the gift cards category. Customers use Recharge.com to monetize cryptocurrencies by buying gift cards that can be used as a payment method with retailers. Working with the global partnership team, the Category Manager of Gift Cards is responsible for finding new profitable suppliers and building on new opportunities together.
