The Director of Engineering scales the platform and drives the integration of multiple Charge Point Management Systems into a unified backend landscape, helping shape a scalable, future-proof architecture across the group.

Vacancy: Director of Engineering

The Director of Engineering leads the engineering organization, responsible for consistent, high-quality delivery in a complex and evolving context. Strategy must be effectively translated into execution – and that is precisely what this role delivers.

The core mission is to further improve engineering velocity and quality in a highly dynamic market. By optimizing processes, removing bottlenecks, and strengthening ways of working, the Director of Engineering enables teams to deliver faster while safeguarding platform stability – on an Azure-based infrastructure – refining what has become the “GreenFlux

At the same time, the role plays a key role in the broader architectural evolution within DKV Mobility. Engineering teams are working across platform boundaries, requiring clear prioritization and strong technical judgment to balance integration efforts with ongoing platform development. Bringing these priorities – platform excellence and system integration – together, the Director of Engineering ensures that short-term delivery and long-term scalability complement each other.

Reporting to Thomas Rahmer, Managing Director Tech & Product, the Director of Engineering leads a team of more than sixty engineers and works closely with product and business stakeholders in an international environment. The role offers substantial scope to shape both the engineering organization and the technical backbone of one of Europe’s most consequential e-mobility platforms.
