Uni-Life’s platform introduces students to campus life, other students, internships, and jobs. Uni-Life collaborates with over half of the Dutch universities, and has expanded its operations to Canada and Spain. The Commercial Lead will establish partnerships with international universities and grow the recruitment division, to further drive its international expansion strategy.

Vacancy: Commercial Lead

The Commercial Lead will drive the company’s expansion, and manage the complete sales and customer success journey. They will oversee Uni-Life’s top-line revenue growth, manage the sales pipeline, establish the sales team and create its materials, retain customers, and implement upselling and cross-selling strategies. This role will work in close collaboration with the management and shareholder team to ensure that sales forecasts are aligned with Uni-Life’s broader business objectives. As part of the Management Team, this role has the potential for future advancement to the position of CCO.

The Commercial Lead has a clear mission: to establish partnerships with international universities and companies that enrich the student experience. Their main driving force is an unlimited motivation and passion to fuel the start-up’s journey into the next phase of international success. Sales cycles in this market can be quite long, often lasting from six months to a year-and-a-half. To succeed, this role requires patience as well as exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle setbacks gracefully. On the other hand, sales engagements with companies happen quickly, which may result in a very diverse and challenging work environment.

Not all processes are set in stone yet, which is typical for a start-up. But the Commercial Lead must be able to thrive in this fluid environment and actively contribute to its evolution. With a background in similar roles, the Commercial Lead will offer innovative insights and recommendations that benefit Uni-Life’s proposition, positioning, and service offering.

The Commercial Lead collaborates with the co-founder and the Lead Engineer, forming a tight-knit management team. They will also be an inspiring leader for the young, highly motivated team of twenty, consistently motivating and guiding them to do their best.
