About Van Oord

As a true Dutch family business, they traditionally focus on the struggle between The Netherlands and the water from the North Sea. Maritime ingenuity worldwide
Van Oord is changing our world through its innovative maritime solutions. They offer four key business units; Dredging, Offshore Wind, Offshore, and The Netherlands.
Traditionally, dredging has been their trademark service. They design and build large, complex dredging projects worldwide, and often act as their general contractor. Whether they work on land reclamation, coastal protection, or a port expansion, Van Oord also provides specialty installation solutions that stabilize or protect the offshore oil and gas infrastructure.
In addition, Van Oord actively contributes to global energy transition with complete solutions in engineering, procurement, and construction for offshore wind projects. And across The Netherlands, they are involved in large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, such as reinforcing the Afsluit dike.
Pioneering spirit lives on
Since 2018, the company was granted the esteemed Royal designation. This is the result of their 150 years of entrepreneurship and pioneering spirit.
