Project Manager

BMS Bike Mobility Services (BMS) aims to develop sustainable, active and affordable bike mobility services for employers and their employees. BMS is part of mobility provider Pon.BIKE Business Group and holds a market leadership position in multiple European countries, and is currently expanding towards the US. The new Project Manager will play a key role in providing the IT uniformity, guidance, and delivery, which will be essential to BMS’ current and future growth.

Due to the digitization of BMS’ business and the company’s further international ambitions, providing IT uniformity and managing the delivery is an essential part of both their current and future growth.

Job description: Project Manager

The new Project Manager will take full ownership of the whole landscape of satellite systems that are connected to the Lease a Bike platform. Additionally, they will drive innovation and optimization efforts across Europe, as well as during the roll-out in the USA.

Lease a Bike’s current IT landscape is an integrated mix of custom-built and acquired, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems. The challenge for the new Project Manager involves the management of the COTS ‘satellite systems’. This means working with vendors to ensure that the integrations run smoothly.

With the aim to move towards a more integrated platform and a more centralized setup in the near future, this person will be responsible for the roadmap towards the integration of all satellite systems, into a new master platform. This new platform will serve as the IT backbone for the future growth of the entire organization. Alongside, The Project Manager will be involved in various other projects / programs within the BMS organization as well.

The technically well-versed Project Manager will constantly rely on their strong people skills and stakeholder management experience, applying them in all directions, to successfully push the ambitious agenda for BMS. They will handle vendor relationships with ease, as well as collaborate closely with the BMS group’s Head of IT, the local country MDs and around forty other stakeholders spread across the local offices in various countries.

This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant experience in IT project management or consulting, and/or in delivery and vendor management. Someone who has honed their technical and stakeholder management skills and experience and wants to apply them in a highly dynamic, hierarchically flat, and international environment — to leave their mark on the growth of the BMS labels in Europe and the US.
