The Head of BI leads a team of engineers for maintenance and continuous improvement of this architecture. The Head of BI has a broad scope, from local issues in MEA countries to collaboration on global BI level. From the data warehouse back end to the analytical modelling front end. And from interacting with pure business users to very technical source system owners. Continuous dialogue is key to derive the business and data rules that are at the heart of the BI landscape. The Head will resolve any data quality issues that get in the way and validate the data models. Candidate profile

With at least seven years’ experience in a large-scale internet environment, candidates understand business processes, data environments and reporting tools. They have demonstrated managerial skills to run a successful tech team. The head of BI is both an analytical wizard and very tech savvy. The BI stack at OLX/Dubizzle uses and applies tools and techniques such as SQL scripting (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Amazon AWS, Cloud computing, Linux/Bash scripting, Python scripts to complete ETL-related taks, Pentaho for data integration, SDLC, Scrum and/or Agile business development, Hadoop, MapReduce, MongoDB, CouchDB.
